COVID and Isolation

In all my life, I'd never bothered about the word 'Pandemic'. It was always something that had happened in the past. I'd only read about these things in history. But now, I can't bring myself to believe that we're smack in the middle of one.

Corona Virus (COVID 19) has stemmed from Wuhan's wet market in China and is now taking over the entire world. Just the sheer magnitude of this heinous virus's ripple effect is shaking the world to its core.

How, I wonder, is this virus so resistant to medication? I shudder just looking at its enhanced image. Round and spiny.

The whole atmosphere around me seems pretty grim. Everyone's pace is faster. Hushed whispers, serious expressions and eerie silence are hitting me hard as I take a peek outside the balcony of my 6th floor apartment.

The words 'isolation', 'quarantine' and 'stay at home' are being thrown around a lot for this pandemic. I thought I would be one of those women who perfectly understood the real meaning of isolation and staying home?

I can sense that everyone's getting restless. But what can we do? This deadly virus is so contagious. Even if you have washed your hands, you still wonder if it's enough? All we can do is hope, pray and just let time let us know if this virus can just disappear from the face of this earth.
